Fat Old Sun...available for purchase. I love this shot, when I processed this I used Smoky, and then faded the colour out, which brings out the burnt orange on the horizon.
My passion in life is photography, on this blog you will find many photographs from my photojournalism work. Enjoy viewing the images if you wish to purchase them, you can do so through http://www.hewhotellsastory.co.uk

Fat Old Sun
Fat Old Sun, Won't you come, and wash away the rain? Fat Old Sun, won't you come, won't you come.
It's been a blinding week literally, the heat has been incredible, but it is nice to feel the warmth of the sun on my skin ...once again.

May 15 2012 Was such an amazing day, the slogan for the day Picture Today Inspire Tomorrow
Very fitting words for a unique photography experience, this of course was a global scale never before seen so to speak. Well in so many that is true, a few of you may remember the film produced by English born producer Ridley Scott.
That film of course was 'Life in a Day', it was by all accounts a spectacular insight into the daily lives of those who inhabit the planet. It was a huge success and I still have it on the hard drive, waiting to be watched, again. I find that the film, inspires me to go out and photograph my life.
So that's exactly what I do i've been taking snaps for years now, but one day I watched that film and I took a few well composed shots, on the internet those images looked great, when I got them developed and mounted and framed I thought they were better than that, they were sellable.
I thought long and hard had I rediscovered my creative side, I had become Runner-up in a design competition for Wrangler jeans, when I was five.
So I purchased again a DSLR this time a Canon of course, so searching through the net, on other social media sites paricularly 500px.com I came across a photographers profile, which linked to a website www.Aday.org
The site is amazing a millions of people sharing their lives on a twentyfour hour basis, and that is what we have done, photographed our lives.
I went to Liverpool to photograph mainly in monochrome, and to get some interesting captures.

Enjoy!

I see pleasure in a thousand eyes, I feel love inside my veins
What a view and what lyrics too! When I go out shooting the landscape they're nothing better than listening to some music to get me in the mood for the landscape.
I listen to anything these days though those heady days from my youth, creep back in and I find myself listening to quality hard trance...bliss!

Hello all
Hope your all having a great weekend, your week may just get better! This link should interest you all, I have done this myself through the BBC and the English Producer Ridley Scott, who asked everyone to film their life in a day, so this is pretty much along the same lines.
That film was inspirational to many...so Richard Branson of Virgin Media is getting behind this too along with other well known brands in support of the organisation.
Top photographers are getting on this, photographers from grass roots like you and me who have flourished or just hobbyist photographers, this is a chance for your work to be seen.
Unlike the film "Life in a Day", whereby it was just snippets for a an hour long window into the life of the world and it's people, here you will actually be able to produce a great story from your own images taken in a twenty four hour period.
I'm going to be setting up a group on Flickr for this event. So if your interested and your friends/contacts would be interested also, it could be an awesome day!
Regards
David

Until the morning farewell
For me this has been an eventful week, taking pictures and documenting what I perceive as art.
The weekend also has finished on a high, one that encapsulates a new adventure to be found. I must admit I have found photographing Wales, to be very rewarding, so rewarding that my skillset has developed in photography, has taken a corner and found itself right where I am now.
When you look at my shots, over the years, I have just snapped at the obvious capture, thinking that will make a great keepsake, but since that day in November 2011 and those days on Newborough beach, watching the sunset.
I can see how more appreciative, I have become of my surroundings, and my own space and the environment.
I have grown and matured and found peace in my photography, though I do feel I need to improve more and I need to venture further a field in order to progress.
Over the next month we will see what happens, for now just enjoy the sunset because tomorrow is another day, so until the morning, farewell.
