Miners Boots
These boots have been here for a while, however you cannot help but think they're not the original boots from the victorian era of slate mining. Most probably these boots, were used before the place eventually closed down in the 1960s.
It's quite good that they are still here it adds interest to the room. The benches are the originals as are the wooden/iron beams in the roof, which is of course made of slate.

#84/365 Blondin Winding and Compressor House
Spent the entire day in Dinorwic Quarry, most of the time spent on the blondin gallery, these winding houses were used to ferry via the blondin the removed slate, then up to the railway.
For the next week or so most of my work will concentrate on this subject, for a project website. Yes I know they're a few out there regarding the Welsh slate mines, but I do want to give my creative angle on this.

Check out my latest shots, i've been using some Kodak Colour 200 film of late, mainly shooting the beautiful welsh coastline.
I then opted for my digital camera set-up for the sports photography; some boulderers in Parisella's cave, on the Great Orme. these guys were climbing Font 7c - 8a+, very hard grades.
I went back to the cave and was really delighted to have met a Pete Robins, what a fantastic climber!
He was currently working through Clyde an 8a+ problem, he was crusing through it, really getting himself psyched so much, for this elusive and rewarding tick at the cave.
