My first visit to Crosby Beach and i've witnessed some amazing work by the artist / sculptor Antony Gormley, his work can be seen across much of Britain and indeed across the globe.

This particular piece was Number 88 in a series of statues across Crosby Beach. The work itself for me signifies the dockers from the ship yards in Liverpool, which can be seen from the beach, also when you walk further out look in a Southerly direction and you can see the Liverpool Skyline, which from the beach reminds me of Dubai and the city's skyline reflects that.

  1. Brilliant piece of photography, the detail is great and the DOF is great too.
